Can't we all just get along? If we can't I'll KILL YOU.

The letter below was found in the Boston Globe.  It is a great letter in itself.  It clearly portrays what I believe is the norm for those that legally carry a concealed gun.  Everyone that I know that routinely carries a gun has a similar outlook.

What is remarkable and hard to fathom are the many insane and irrational comments from raving holpophobes . . . (look that one up in your Funk and Wagnalls)!

Read some of the responses HERE.  You'll very quickly realize that even speaking to the kind of person that espouses such beliefs is a complete waste or breath, and may very well incite a violent attack upon yourself by a scrum of bloodthirsty pacifists.

To the man I sat next to on the train: I am the gun owner you hate

To the man I sat next to on my way in to Boston:

When I boarded the commuter rail, you were already in the midst of a spirited phone conversation and didn’t seem to care about how loud you were talking. You were talking with someone about the Paris train attack and the growing epidemic of gun violence in America.

You spoke about the “murderous NRA” and “bloodthirsty gun nuts” who were causing our schools to “run red with blood.” You spoke profanely of the Republicans who opposed President Obama’s call for “sensible gun control,” and you lamented the number of “inbred redneck politicians” who have “infiltrated Capitol Hill.”

I found myself amazed at the irony of the situation. While you were spewing your venom, I sat quietly next to you with my National Rifle Association membership card in my wallet and my 9mm pistol in its holster. You were only 12 inches away from my legally owned semiautomatic pistol. I suppose I didn’t look like the “bloodthirsty gun nut” you thought I should be. It apparently didn’t register to you that I could so cleverly disguise myself by wearing a fleece coat, Patriots hat, and khakis.

So, to the angry liberal who sat next to me on the commuter rail: I don’t hate you. I don’t have any ill feelings toward you. I don’t wish to do you harm. And I don’t regret sitting next to you. On the contrary; I feel bad for you. It must hurt carrying that much hate inside of you.

You obviously have strong opinions about this hot topic. So, let me say this as plainly as I can: If a bad guy with a gun had decided to walk onto that train and start shooting people, I would have been prepared and able to use my gun to defend my own life and the lives of everyone else on that train, including yours. Although you may hate me, a gun owner, I would risk my life for you.

Opinions and ideologies make a pretty thin shield against the bullets of a madman. Your liberal self-righteousness and ignorance may have made you feel superior and comfortable, but during that 40-minute train ride to Boston, my gun kept you safe.

Hoplophobia is a political neologism coined by retired American military officer Jeff Cooper as a pejorative to describe an "irrational aversion to weapons." It is also used to describe the "fear of firearms" or the "fear of armed citizens." Hoplophobia is a political term and not a recognized medical phobia.

Origin of the term

American firearms expert and retired Marine colonel Jeff Cooper coined the word in 1962 to denigrate and anger proponents of gun control by implying that their thoughts were "aberrant" and unreasoning:
"I coined the term "hoplophobia" in 1962 in response to a perceived need for a word to describe a mental aberration consisting of an unreasoning terror of gadgetry, specifically, weapons. The most common manifestation of hoplophobia is the idea that instruments possess a will of their own, apart from that of their user. This is not a reasoned position, but when you point this out to a hoplophobe he is not impressed because his is an unreasonable position. To convince a man that he is not making sense is not to change his viewpoint but rather to make an enemy. Thus hoplophobia is a useful word, but as with all words, it should be used correctly."
The term was constructed from the Greek ὅπλον - hoplon, meaning, amongst other things, "arms," and φόβος - phobos, meaning "fear." Cooper employed the term as just another alternative to other slang terms, stating: "We read of 'gun grabbers' and 'anti-gun nuts' but these slang terms do not [explain this behavior]." Cooper's conjecture was that "the most common manifestation of hoplophobia is the idea that instruments possess a will of their own, apart from that of their user." Writing in an opinion piece, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review columnist Dimitri Vassilaros said that the term was intended by Cooper as tongue-in-cheek to mock those who think guns have free will.

Obama to Honor Gang Bangers, Drug Dealers and Murderers at State of the Union Address

Yep.  You read that masthead correctly.  the Prez is planning to honor Gang Bangers, Drug Dealers and Murderers at State of the Union Address.

The President of the United States is “honoring” victims of “gun violence” ahead of the armed servicemen killed or wounded in the fight against the existential threat of Islamic extremism? That’s a disgrace.

Since the vast majority of violence involving guns is perpetrated upon criminals by criminals, Obama is making sure to laud the dregs of society with his concept of honor.

Considering that a princely percentage of these dead losers are former gang members from the south side of Chicago and urban Washington D.C., Barack Obama is just down for his homies.

Not to say that a minority of urban violence and terrorism victims are good upstanding citizens, I'm guessing that most of that minority would not wish to be associated with the majority of scum "victims".

Our duly elected and clearly delusional leader is even planning on enhancing this despicable spectacle with an empty chair à la Clint Eastwood.

Really - no shit - President Barack Obama [not shown] plans to honor victims of gun violence in his State of the Union address next week by leaving a seat empty in the first lady’s viewing box.

As I recall, nearly all Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, and general enemies of Truth, Justice, and the American Way really yucked it up when Clint addressed the president that wasn't there.  Now Barry himself is planning on stealing Clint's joke - only this time it won't be funny.

Show us Your Papers, Old Man - NO GUNS FOR YOU!

This week, the President picked up his “phone and his pen” and continued his assault on the Second Amendment.

On the presidential website, the President declared war on senior citizens, and on private individuals who, in some cases, sell as few as one firearm.

He’s circumventing Congress and enacting “legislation” by executive fiat.

Obama has declared Open Season on Seniors and Other Law-Abiding Gun Owners

Those are just the highlights. There is much more, and you can read additional analysis of the President’s imperial diktat here.

But bottom line: Having failed to get gun control legislation passed in Congress, Obama is doing what he always does when he can’t get what he wants.

In July of last year Obama announced his plans to ban Social Security beneficiaries from owning guns, if they are deemed as being unable to manage their financial affairs.

With this new executive action, that policy has now been officially announced:

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has indicated that it will begin the rulemaking process to ensure that appropriate information in its records is reported to NICS [and] will cover appropriate records of the approximately 75,000 people each year.

The President also wants to take America back 30 years -- prior to the reforms in the Firearms Protection Act of 1986 -- and unleash a horde of additional ATF agents to entrap law-abiding Americans who are supposedly “engaged in the business” of selling firearms.

What constitutes being “engaged in the business” -- selling 50 guns ... 25 guns ... 15 guns ... or 5 guns? While the President’s lawless decree doesn’t say, it does suggest the number could be as low as “one or two transactions.”

So if you’re financially strapped in this Obama economy and want to make a few bucks selling off the firearms in your home, look out. You could be “sentenced up to five years in prison and fined up to $250,000” if you are subsequently determined to have “engaged in the business” of selling an unspecified number of firearms without a license.

The alternative, of course, is that you voluntarily become an FFL and conduct background checks on every gun you sell -- guns that you legally bought as a private citizen.

Just as the President admitted that ObamaCare would serve as a first step to single-payer (aka, socialistic) health care, so will these gun control regs push us one-step closer to universal gun registration, which is what the President actually wants.

Mental Health and Medical Records - There Is No Privacy in HIPAA - Still

As it's 2016, and we have recently (this week) been hearing a lot about the "Increased mental health checks", and how they will be used for firearms background checks.

Despite what folks think, medical records are not private. Many, if not most people believe "It's my medical record." Wrong! In fact, the law specifically states the record is the property of the facility /doctor. This is a very important distinction.

The so-called privacy rule is a joke. There are myriad authorized (and planned) holes in HIPAA .

How many of you know that none of those letters in the HIPAA  acronym has anything to do with privacy?  HIPAA = Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.  The same benevolent elites that brought us HIPAA are the same loons that loosed the mentally ill onto the streets and into refrigerator boxes.

Every agency out there has, or can easily obtain, an exemption. This is known as a "Covered Entity". Your Doctor has no choice. A "Covered Entity" does not need your permission or knowledge to access your medical information.

When they announced the HIPAA Privacy law, everyone got a "Warm & Fuzzy" that their private medical information was, indeed private. Someone just forgot to mention the numerous exemptions already written into the law, and that there is a provision in the law which allows an entity to apply for "Covered Entity" status @ a later date.

They already have full and unfettered access to your medical information / medical records. They can either access them electronically,(unless your hospital is not a stand-alone system), remember the electronic record deal of several years ago? For the stand-alone facility, a simple demand to produce the record, which will be faxed, emailed or hand delivered. If the doctor or facility questions "why?", a copy of the law granting "Covered Status" will be used as an answer.

NEVER, EVER say you are depressed, upset, angry or have feelings of wanting revenge against anyone person, or an entity. Never say you are suicidal or have homicidal feelings.

At your doctors office, REFUSE to answer any so-called "statistical" surveys: Questions about gun ownership, sexual trama, religion, family members, domestic problems, your deep seated feelings, kids, debts, etc.

This information is only collected to be used against you at a later date. It amounts to your written & signed confession. The doctor cannot refuse to render services because you won't provide answers to a "harmless" survey. You can even refuse certain medical tests.

The VA is one of the worst in this mental health Data collection scheme. Call for an appointment and they tell you 2X in the recording about how to call a special number if you're depressed, etc.

Even if your loved one dies, you are "Naturally in mourning, but accept death is part of the natural cycle." You are not angry at a higher power or the deceased ones doctor, etc.

Don't ever reveal information not specifically germane to your medical condition. A problem with acid reflux does not require you to disclose firearm ownership information or your current "feelings."
Eliminate all other factors, and the one which remains must be the truth. Sherlock Holmes
